Perpetual nodesign in process…
the cobbler's shoes and all that.

menus

the blender menus are cool.

rather than remain on a struggle to achieve x-plat css menus (with a bit of js thrown in for that damned IE) why not do old fashion hidden/revealed layers? the layers could be populated with lists and that achieves some measure of accessibility. in fact, the layers could be present for any non-dom compliant browser and therefore NOT hidden at all.

hmmm…

I still have reservations about global navigation with drop down menus… especially on the Bowdoin web site. Mostly it is a crutch which lends you to believe the information has been well designed for visitors. In fact, I think the opposite is true, that these limit one’s information design possibilities and gives too much reliance upon a very short list of items to provide clues to the visitor.
