This is an oss video editing/effects tool. There is filmgimp too. I dunno how much tools like Gimp, Blender, and jahshaka have over other creative suites. Likely you’ll lose some horsepower in feature set upgrades (think about Maya or StudioMax vs. Blender… or Gimp vs. Photoshop), potential QA issues (not that proprietary vendors are off the hook here but there’s a direct support line too), and definitely less integration of various products across and within suites and operating systems (think Apple’s FCP, DVDStudioPro,
Aperature, Shake, Motion…).
