Northern Saw-whet Owl
Unfortunately I get my best pictures of birds when they are dead. My neighbor alerted me of this one which he found on his front step after it must have flown into a window… I’m a huge fan of birds, though only a casual birder. I’ve been looking for the right extra long lens to lug around so I can take better close ups of more live birds.
The great site from the Cornel Lab of Ornithology has more ID and the typical voice.
