Our post-thanksgiving day trip to cut a tree down for the next holiday typically is followed by a walk. This walk was shorter due to waning light and certain under-dressed people. Not far inland the snow was several inches heavier than in Portland. The dog, for one, needed to get outside.

Light snow in late fall, or early winter: expectant, exciting, fresh… Any snow late March: Meh. Even the dog agrees. It was just a passing squall however, it was nothing.
I’m glad the snow is melting … but this was fun.
For many of you in Texas and other parts of the south this has been an unusual year of snow … this is typical. And today we get more, plus rain. I hate the rain on top of this.
