The snow is going away, marked by more clouds than sun lately … this is how it feels.

Found this on a morning walk in Capisic pond park. I believe this is the carcass of a diurnal raptor. Falco columbarius, or a Merlin. There isn’t a lot left to go on. I should have turned it over but didn’t have forceps or gloves, just my iphone.

This morning it was 20 degrees F outside – the coldest day since the season turned and I can’t help but recall the awesome summer we had. More beach pictures of L & W, and friends here…

Just the tippy top of the tree was lit as the sky broke open after a day long rain storm. Also a chubby rainbow occurred but I’m not happy with the shot. Something I love to hate about our world are the wires always overhead in most places.

Late evening dog walk in my favorite neighborhood park, and the light was great. The iPhone4 camera actually captured it well.
